An took my parents and I out for my birthday dinner on Saturday night at the Ranch Restaurant (one of the top restaurant in OC). Heels in one hand, dress in the other, we rushed out of his apartment at 8:25pm hoping to not be TOOOOO late for our reservation at 8:45pm, but who were we kidding! Upon arrival, we valeted and hurried in as my parents were patiently waiting. We were greeted and taken to our table where my mom happily waved and excitedly jumped up and down in her seat saying hi as my dad sat quietly and smiled at us. Being the first birthday I’ve spent with them in a while, I was feeling a bit of nostalgia for younger days and birthdays celebrated with family. After settling in, we were brought a wheel of different bread rolls with rosemary butter to munch on as we decided on what to feast on for the night.

My dad decided on the Chilean sea bass and my mom got the NY strip steak while An and I shared their famous cowboy ribeye (a 58oz booger!). We also ordered their gnocchi as an appetizer and some mashed potatoes and creamed corn to go with everything else.

Most of the time, my camera eats first, but my parents dug into their dishes right away so I’m left without pictures, but at least I got our desserts!

Mr & Mrs. Suen throughly enjoyed their food, whilst An and I had a bit of trouble with ours (bit undercooked and tendon-y) but the flavor was still on point and we were still stuffed at the end. All in all, I would rate this place a 7.5/10 as I have had better ribeye, but being able to spend my day with the people I love made it all the better. Also, service and ambiance was great, so maybe an extra .5 there (:
P.S. Thank you An for my new camera…I can’t wait to capture more moment of my life ♡
