Habana, Costa Mesa

Sooo……YA GURL IS NOW 24! This past weekend has been a pretty busy one for me due to all the celebrations, but it has been one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. Saturday afternoon, my boyfriend An and I went to grab a bite at our favorite Cuban place in Costa Mesa called Habana.  It is such a nice date place to go to, the ambiance in their outdoor area is great for a spring day or a dressy night out.

We absolutely love their baby spinach salad with skirt steak so we both ordered it (I’ll definitely have to try to replicate it sometime soon). Everything in the salad pairs so well with one another. The savory pancetta, juicy cherry tomatoes, and creamy avocado tossed in their orange vinaigrette, topped with thinly sliced onions and goat cheese croutons are to die for. And I can’t forget the steak that was seasoned perfectly so you can still taste the sweetness of the meat. It is a bit on the pricy side for a salad, but I think it is well worth a try if you are ever in the area!

And if you enjoy taking a walk after your meal like I do or like to shop (like me!!!), you can check out the rest of the place afterwards because the restaurant sits in the center of this little mall. There are a lot of places to sit down and hangout outdoors. They even have an area with these super cute bench swings (which I didn’t get a picture of sadly).
